Privacy information

Effective 10 October 2026. This notice describes the personal contact-maintenance workflow.

Information accessed

The Google reader requests read-only contact access and the owner’s account identity and verified email. Contact snapshots may include names, email addresses, phone numbers, notes, photos, birthdays and other contact fields returned by the API. The reader cannot modify Google contacts.

Purpose and storage

Contact information is used to retain backups, detect changes and prepare owner-reviewed comparisons. Private snapshots and review files are stored on the owner’s Mac outside source-control repositories. The renewal credential is stored in Mac Keychain; credentials are not printed or written into contact reports.

Services and disclosure

Google provides the source contact API. The owner’s connected Microsoft Outlook service provides access to his personal Outlook contacts. Codex and its connected tools may process contact information when the owner requests a review or an approved update; their own service terms and data controls apply. This workflow does not sell contact data, use it for advertising or publish contact records on these pages. Public repository evidence is limited to code, procedure and redacted counts or status.

Owner control and retention

The owner can revoke Google access in Google Account settings and pause scheduled audits. Private backup snapshots are retained to protect against accidental data loss; there is no automatic deletion policy. Revoking access does not itself delete existing local snapshots. Any future change to contact access or sharing must be reviewed before use.

For questions, use the support email displayed on the Google consent screen.
